The high demand for Real Estate continues in 2016 all over the Riviera Maya. Central Playa Del Carmen, however, is a very hot area where everyone wants to be and the demand for long and short term rentals is very strong. With the popularity of AirBNB soaring more and more vacationers are searching for weekly and monthly rentals in the central, downtown area of Playa near 5th Avenue where all the fun and action is.

I live in a older neighborhood in a very popular central Playa area close to 5th Ave. and have noticed that in the last year it has become very hard for locals to find long term rentals in my neighborhood. This is because the owners of condos, apartments and houses in my area are almost all using AirBNB and have focused on vacation rentals because of the high demand and limited supply in our area.
